Dr Ferraro’s Journey into Anthroposophy
Anthroposophy is a spiritual philosophy developed by Rudolf Steiner in the early 20th century. By integrating science, art, and spirituality, it seeks to deepen awareness of both the physical and metaphysical worlds and underpins practices such as Waldorf education, anthroposophical medicine, and biodynamic farming.
Central to Anthroposophy is the belief that all things are imbued with spiritual forces or “life energies,” which can be harmonised by aligning with natural rhythms, such as the cycles of the sun, moon, and stars.
Dr Ferraro’s quest to understand life’s origins led him to biology, Chinese medicine, and Indian medicine, but his true inspiration came through Anthroposophy, which he discovered at his son’s Steiner school. This philosophy, a guiding force in his work, deepened his understanding of cosmic rhythms and nature’s vitality.
Anthroposophy connects crystallisation, dynamization, and biodynamic farming to enhance nature’s unseen forces. By preserving the energy of green clay, amplifying essential oils, and cultivating plants in harmony with the cosmos, Argital creates products that nurture both body and soul.
Crystallisation
The Copper Chloride Experiment
In anthroposophy, crystallisation represents the expression of spiritual forces in material substances. The Copper Chloride Crystallisation Test, developed by chemists Pfeiffer and Steiner, reveals a substance’s vitality by analysing its crystallisation patterns.
This test involves combining a material, such as a plant extract, with copper chloride and analysing the resulting crystallisation patterns. Beautiful patterns of crystals represent vitality (Vital forces).

Dynamisation
Dynamisation is a unique process in anthroposophy that amplifies the life forces within a material. It involves rhythmic stirring or vibration, often using human hands, to create a dynamic interaction between the substance, its environment, and human energy.

Beyond avoiding chemical fertilisers and pesticides, Argital aligns agricultural practices—such as sowing, fertilising, and harvesting—with the rhythms of the sun, moon, planets, and constellations to amplify the “life forces” of the plants.

A Childhood Inspiration
Argital’s journey originates in Sicily, the homeland of our founder, Dr Ferraro. His childhood memories of playing with warm clay under the Sicilian sun ignited a passion for the healing powers of nature and inspired him to create Argital.

Sicilian green clay, formed over 16 million years ago beneath the seabed, is a testament to the Earth’s geological history.
Located on the southernmost island of Italy, Sicily is blessed with abundant sunlight and strong winds, which have brought this marine-origin clay to the surface.
