Argital X High Vibe Fest: Sunrise Yoga
Vibing the weekend with a Sunrise yoga
In early September, the Argital team embarked on a transformative weekend at High Vibe Fest, hosted at Song Yan Resort in Bukit Tinggi. This retreat was a heartfelt journey of self-discovery and inner healing, followed by the gentle breeze and the serene surroundings of pine trees.
During this retreat, Argital team had the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who shared the same values, connecting with nature, and having fun eating plant based meals. This experience was truly exceptional, and the team is grateful to be able to experience this moment.
The first day of High Vibe Fest focused on exploring personal potential, embracing new possibilities, and nurturing both body and mind. The carefully curated programs allowed retreat-goers to connect with one another, engage in mediation and restorative practices facilitated by experts, harmonize through healing songs, and enjoy the company of newfound friends through lively dancing and mingling.
The natural ambience of Bukit Tinggi, with its refreshing pine-scented breeze, added a unique dimension to the retreat, drawing everyone closer and encouraging them to explore their untapped potential.
Sunrise Yoga by Argital
Woke up early in the next morning, greeted by the fresh, invigorating breeze that followed a night of rain, giving the morning air comforting. Everyone gathered eagerly to start off their day with an enriching session of sunrise yoga.
Sunrise yoga, a gentle and less intensive form of yoga suitable for all fitness levels. It stretches and strengthens the body, clears our minds, and cultivates mindfulness for the day ahead. This practice served as a morning ritual, awakening our connection with our bodies, breath and minds.
The sunrise yoga session starts with soothing breathing exercises, guided by Vanessa Tevi. It transitioned into a unique yoga flow reaching a deep state of relaxation, setting a positive tone for the day. As the session progressed, more and more individuals joined to partake in this enriching experience, the hall brimmed with enthusiastic participants. The session concluded on a heartwarming note, as everyone received thoughtful Argital goodie bags and came together for a heartwarming group photo.
The practice of beginning the day with sunrise yoga serves as a powerful tool for maintaining mental clarity, focus, and presence. Through the rhythmic combination of breath and movement, yoga can help declutter our mind, organize our thoughts, and keep us mindful as we go about our daily tasks. Argital, too, shares in these values, where the essence of herbs and flowers promotes mental clarity and mindfulness. Just as yoga awakens both the mind and body, Argital embraces these principles, creating an atmosphere of awakening.

Membiru, an unseen beauty in nature
An unseen beauty in nature, Membiru:
A collaboration of Argital and Sunprint
by Balqis Tajalli
Argital brings you to the world of Cyanotype, a photographic printing process that produces blue prints using coated paper and light. It is an old tradition of technique printing by using natural resources such as our environment to produce beautiful art with our local Malaya artist.
Meet the person who’s behind this Cyanotype.
Balqis Tajalli is a full time artist and designer at Sunprint Studio, based in Langkawi. Balqis is an experimental person who embraces photography and printing aside from working with Cyanotype, an old century printing technique, in which she named it Sunprint.
“This ritual of observing enables me to have a meaningful connection with nature and makes a good story to share with my students.”
According to Balqis, Cyanotype brings her outdoors, chasing the sun and exploring nature such as interesting plants or organic matter. The outcome of cyanotype is also influenced by the seasons and weather conditions. So she took an initiative by learning and observing the landscape, the ground and the sky such as clouds formation, length of shadows, humidity and other environmental conditions that affect the sunprint process.
What’s the meaning of this collaboration?
The collaboration between Argital and Sunprint by Balqis Tajalli is motivated by shared values and creating a visual story that enhances the cultural identity of both brands. In this collaboration, Argital and Balqis Tajalli aim to showcase the elements of Argital and Sunprint—Sun, Sea, and Earth—through creative and immersive ways.
Let’s explore the world of Cyanotype with the artist and the master behind Cyanotype, Balqis Tajalli in this Q&A.
How does Argital relate with Sunprint?
The key elements that make up the process and ingredients of Argital’s organic products are sun, sea (water) and earth. Interestingly, Sunprint art has the same process of using these elements though it’s for different purposes.
“I love that Argital as a brand, takes advantage of the blessings in nature to nurture both healthy mind and skin with natural ingredients.”
Tell us about the art.
“The piece of art above is called “Batik in Blue: Membiru”. It portrays a botanical arrangement symbolizing the colors and life force’s awakened at dawn.”
“The composition, if you noticed, is inspired by the beautiful motif found in kain sarong, which is a traditional Malay batik cloth worn often around the waist.”
Any takeaway message from this collaboration?
“It is a wonderful experience to have a brand that trusts in the artist’s creativity to bring a feeling to life or embody a message of a brand. There are a million ways to produce art, especially in an era of machine learning and AI that are changing how art can be produced.”
“Yet, I’m confident that it still takes a human hand, a soul and spirit to create meaningful work when it comes to art. So does a company like Argital, that respects the natural rhythm of nature and values the human spirit.”

Hot and Sunny: Tropical Malaysian Heat and the Effect on our Skin
Nowadays our Malaysian weather is unpredictable. It can be hot and sunny (heat) at the times then suddenly turn to rain and humid. You may start to notice some not-so-fun changes in your skin during these times. The tight feeling on the face, the sticky and greasy texture when wiping off the face. These sudden changes in the weather are affecting the skin and what can we do to improve it?
Sudden Change in weather
Heat
Given that our weather can be unpredictable at times, we often switch on the air conditioning and blast it to keep our bodies cool. However, this method will only have an effect on our skin, such as the skin feel tighter or appear drier, with cracked skin, flaky skin, and inflammation, while for those who are prone to acne, the pimples will be more inflamed and irritated due to the loss of moisture and hydration. Air conditioning may help to cool the body during heat, but it is also known to suck moisture from the air. With all that recycled air flowing, constant air conditioning can produce a dry indoor atmosphere.
So what can we do about it?
Which Argital Products Should You Use?

Humid
The weather can change throughout the day, from rainy to hot and bright in a single day.
During rainy and humid weather, the skin retains moisture and may create more oils on the face, as increased humidity leads to oily skin, which can be a gateway for acne, greasy skin, and blackheads. Furthermore, an increasing amount of breakouts will develop, making the skin appear dull and uneven. It can be quite unpleasant to over-wash the face during this weather because it will not fix the issue but will increase sebum production on the face.
So what can we do about it?

Calm Down your Skin in this Hot and Humid weather
Malaysia is known for its hot and humid weather, tropical climate, and tropical rain showers throughout the year. The hottest months of the year are usually from June to August. Throughout these months, we sweat frequently and our skin gets irritated more than ever.
Taking care of our skin in Malaysia’s hot and humid climate can be challenging. One of the reasons we get sunburns and acne appears out of nowhere. All of this contributes to skin imbalance and has an impact on our mood. In order to achieve healthy skin, we must take extra care of it by allowing it to breathe.
What happened to our skin when it is exposed to hot weather?
The skin becomes dry and loses moisture, causing it to feel dehydrated, sensitive, and the skin is inflamed easily. The loss of moisture causes the skin to be imbalance. That is why keeping your body hydrated by drinking enough water is very important during this hot weather season to keep your skin hydrated too!
Many of us prefer to stay in a cold room and drink cold beverages to cool off from the heat outside. Our skin needs that too! To cool down from the sun and the heat. How to do that?
Skin Calming Ingredient: Chamomile
Chamomile is well-known for its calming properties and is an essential ingredient in our skin care products. Not only does it soothe the skin, but it also helps to relieve the redness, inflammation, and irritation caused by heat. Chamazulene is a compound found in Chamomile that helps to relieve redness, irritation, rashes, and burns.
Argital’s Chamomile Cream works wonders on the skin, not only calming it but also moisturizing it from the dryness caused by hot weather. Chamomile is also considered as a natural skin brightener. It can also be used as a sun care cream because it protects against UV light. It’s refreshing scent relaxes the mind.
Cleanse with Green Clay and Chamomile
Our skin requires regular cleansing to remove dead skin cells, excess oil, and dirt from our outdoor activities, which can clog pores. While we wear mask all day, our face accumulates all the dirt especially if we wear makeup underneath.
Proper cleansing clears the skin and provides sufficient hydration, as our skin tends to be dry and frequently sweaty in hot weather. Using less makeup, such as foundation, allows the skin to breathe while also lowering the risk of breakouts (caused by the sweat, bacteria, oil and dirt on the skin), making you feeling uncomfortable.
Green Clay is used in Argital’s Brightening Cleanser to keep the skin moist while cleansing. Centifolia Rose is also included in the cleanser to provide a natural glow. Phytic Acid has antioxidant properties that help to enhance the natural glow. This cleanser also contains Chamomile, which helps to calm the skin. All of the ingredients are formulated to keep the skin moist without drying off the skin.
Calm down with Sicilian Green Clay
Sicilian Green Clay works wonders on the skin in both hot and cold weather. The active sea minerals are beneficial to the skin and body. Sicilian Green Clay moisturizes the skin, balances the oil, and cleanses the pores to fulfill the needs of the skin. Most importantly, it calms and stabilizes the skin.
Argital’s Active Green Clay Powder is suitable for every skin type and it leaves a smooth and supple skin due to its moisturizing nature while nourishing the skin. Also helps to tighten the pores and maintains skin elasticity. Suitable to be used at any time and on any day.
Mist yourself with the scent from mother nature
Hydrating your body from inside out. Drink lots of water and not forgetting to hydrate from the outside too!
Experience the scent of mother nature with Argital’s Aroma Essence Waters. Each scent is derived from natural Italian spring water and it is suitable for use as a face mist, body mist, or even as a pillow mist. Suitable to use at anytime of the day especially in this hot season.
Jasmine Essence Water has a sweet fragrance derived from the Jasmine flower and is ideal for an instant mood booster to re-energize. Neroli Essence Water is derived from the blossoms of a bitter orange tree, and it soothes and hydrates the skin while refreshes our mind. Rosemary Essence Water is good to tone the skin and scalp and the aroma repels the anxiety.
Chamomile Essence Water has a calming scent derived from German Chamomile, and it calms and soothes the skin while quenching thirsty skin. Lavender Essence Water’s scent represents the aroma from an organic lavender field and is used to hydrate and soothe the skin. Suitable for sensitive skin. Rose Essence Water instantly hydrates the skin while also balancing and brightening it.
A Refreshing shower to enlighten your body and mind
Our bodies are as important as our skin; do not neglect to cleanse as they require our attention too. Showering frequently during hot weather can help our bodies to cool, relax, and hydrate. It is essential to stay hydrated in order to avoid sudden raise in the body temperature; a dehydrated body can lead to heat exhaustion.
Argital’s Shower gel series is suitable for all skin types and helps to refresh our skin, body, and mind for a relaxing day. Linden Shower gel contains Linden flower, Calendula, and Chamomile to soothe the skin and locks the moisture your skin needed. Relaxing Shower gel has Melissa (Lemon Balm) soothes anxiety and stress with the soothing aroma of Ylang Ylang, Geranium, and Lavender. Invigorating Shower gel is a great way to start your day as it has Mint and Peppermint to cool down the skin and soothe the body and mind. Also a perfect option for you to wind down after a long day.
